Paint along with Charla as she demonstrates 5 completely different paintings of wild animals. Each painting has commentary by Charla as she describes her thought process while she paints.
This class includes REAL-TIME demonstrations of FIVE complete bold color animals; from the King of the Jungle to the Mighty Hummingbird. You witness the planning stages, prep, color mixing and the painting from beginning to end.
LOW KEY ELEPHANT
Go through the stages of sketching, planning, mixing and painting with Charla as she takes on an elephant with a surprise ending.
HUMMING BIRD
Charla approaches this multicolored piece with no particular palette in mind. Learn some of her favorite color mixes and see how she troubleshoots through this piece.

Play with texture as Charla tackles a painting with no blacks.

Charla Maarschalk is a Canadian painter that specializes in painting large, bold color, gestural faces. She has been a creative all her life working in the graphic arts as well as photography.
